Enjoy a romantic getaway

When it comes to celebrating Valentine's Day, nothing can compare to quality time away from the norm with your loved one. With breathtaking landscapes and fascinating cities, a romantic break in England is the perfect way to start 2022.

We’ve put together a list of the most romantic places in the UK along with some ideas to make your break more memorable.

Lake District

With its breath taking landscape that is rich in character and brought to life in literature, it’s easy to see why the Lake District is one of the favourite destinations for a romantic getaway.

Here are a few ideas to make your Valentine's visit more memorable.

Get out on a lake

By paddle or power, the tranquillity of being out on the water is hard to beat. Why not pack a picnic and enjoy the stunning backdrop of Ullswater or Derwentwater?

Indulge in a Michelin starred date

If you’re after a foodie treat then you’re in the right place, the Lake District is home to a number of Michelin Star restaurants. Our favourites are The Old Stamp House in Ambleside, and Forest Side in Grasmere.

A date with a difference

For those looking for something a little different, how does walking with Alpacas sound? With starting points all close to Keswick, this certainly isn’t the ‘same old’ date idea.

Take my breath away

Like we said earlier, the Lakes is breath taking in its beauty, and nowhere is more stunning (and accessible) than Aira Force. On the edge of Ullswater and said to have inspired Wordsworth, the iconic bridge overlooking the falls is the perfect picture for that dream dates scrapbook.

We hear you, that’s why Cirencester alone is perfect for a romantic getaway, Coupling beautiful Cotswolds stone with the greenery of Cirencester Park, the only thing missing is a swimming pool.
